RALPH JEFFREY was a convict who was tried and convicted at Northumberland in 1788 and sentenced to seven years transportation. JEFFREY arrived with the Third Fleet per Matilda (1791) on 1 August 1791 but, like so many of his fellow Third Fleet convicts, he did not survive long in the colony. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 23 March 1792.
