JOSEPH ROBINSON was a convict who was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 5 March 1792. His identity is not clear as there is no exact match for this name in the records of convicts transported to the colony prior to this burial date. It may have been an alias, or an incorrect recording at the time of burial of a similar name, like JOHN ROBINSON or JOSEPH ROBSON – there was an Old Bailey convict transported with the Third Fleet per Active (1791), so this may have been the person buried at St. John’s in March 1792. Further research required.
