JOHN WELLINGS was a convict who was tried and convicted at Manchester, Lancashire, England and sentenced to seven years transportation on 22 April 1790. WELLINGS sailed with the Third Fleet from Plymouth on 27 March 1791 per Atlantic (1791) and arrived on 20 August 1791, but he did not last long in the colony. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 17 June 1792.
