JOHN HEROD was a convict who was tried and convicted at Nottingham, England and sentenced to seven years transportation in 1787. HEROD arrived with the Third Fleet per Admiral Barrington (1791) on 16 October 1791 but did not last long in the colony. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 15 April 1792.
