JOHN DAVIS was a convict who was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 13 March 1792. His identity is not clear as there were quite a few convicts transported to the colony with this name prior to this burial date. They include Second Fleet convict JOHN DAVIS per Scarborough (2) (1790) and four Third Fleet convicts; JOHN DAVIS per Active (1791), JOHN DAVIS per Atlantic (1791) and two on the William and Ann (1791).
