JOHN CROSBY was a convict who was tried and convicted at Chester, England and sentenced to seven years transportation on 3 September 1789. CROSBY sailed with the Third Fleet per HMS Gorgon (1791) on 15 March 1791 and arrived on 21 September 1791, but he did not last long in the colony. He was the “JOHN CROSBY, Convict” who was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 26 June 1792.
