JOHN CLARK was a convict who was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 4 May 1792. His identity is uncertain as there were a number of convicts who arrived in the colony prior to this burial date who shared the same name. They include First Fleeters JOHN CLARK per Scarborough (1788) and JOHN CLARKE per Charlotte (1788), as well as two men with the name who both arrived in the colony aboard the Pitt (1792).
