John Burdett (d.1792)

JOHN BURDETT was a convict who was tried and convicted at Southampton, Hampshire, England and sentenced to seven years transportation on 1 March 1790. BURDETT arrived with the Third Fleet per Britannia (1791) on 14 October 1791. However, like many of his fellow Third Fleeters, BURDETT did not survive long in the colony. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 28 January 1792.
