JAMES HUNTINGTON was a convict who was tried and convicted at Lincoln, England and sentenced to seven years transportation on 10 March 1787. HUNTINGTON arrived with the Third Fleet per Matilda (1791) on 1 August 1791 but lasted only a short time in the colony. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 9 March 1792.
