Henry Summerton (d.1792)

HENRY SUMMERTON was a convict who was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 28 January 1792. Assuming he was indeed a convict and that this was not an error, no exact match has been found for this name in the convict records for all ships arriving prior to January 1792. There are however a number of convicts with similar names; JOHN SUMPTON per Surprize (1) (1790); JOHN SUMMERS per Atlantic (1791); THOMAS SUMMERLAND per Scarborough (2) (1790) and HENRY SKELTON per Atlantic (1791). Further research required.
