Ebenezer Downing (d.1792)

EBENEZER DOWNING was a convict who was tried and convicted at New Sarum, Wiltshire, England and sentenced to seven years transportation on 7 March 1789. DOWNING arrived with the Third Fleet per Admiral Barrington (1791) on 16 October 1791 but lasted only a short while in the colony. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 19 April 1792.
