Ann Nash (c.1756-1836)

Ann Nash, (née Ann Smith) was a convict transported with the Third Fleet on board the Mary Ann (1791). Two months after her arrival in the colony, she married First Fleet convict Edward Elliott at St. John’s Church, Parramatta. Two years after her first husband’s death in 1822, Ann married John Nash, an emancipated convict who had been transported per Perseus (1802). Ann died at Castle Hill and was buried at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 25 May 1836, with a recorded age of 80.
