AMBROSE LONG was a convict who was tried and convicted at Devon, England and sentenced to seven years transportation in 1790. LONG arrived with the Third Fleet per Atlantic (1791) on 20 August 1791 but did not survive long in the colony. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta on 25 February 1792.
