ABRAHAM CHATFIELD was a convict who was tried and convicted at Sussex, England and sentenced to seven years transportation in 1790. CHATFIELD arrived with the Third Fleet per Admiral Barrington (1791) on 16 October 1791 but did not survive long. He was buried in an unmarked grave at St. John’s Cemetery, Parramatta just over five months later on 28 March 1792.
